Appointments

Our online appointment system makes it quick and easy for you to book an appointment with a GP. 

Please speak with a member of reception if you are needing to book to see the Nurse or Health Care Assistant.

To be able to use the online patient access please bring a copy of ID (passport, driving licence,bus pass) to reception and we will be able to set your account up. 

Please note you require an email address for this facility.  

Urgent Appointments

Please tell the receptionist your need is urgent when you call. Give as much information as possible to help the receptionist arrange a suitable appointment for you. Daily 'sit and wait' appointments are available.  You may not see your usual doctor and no other matter should be discussed with the doctor during this consultation. 

Childrens on the Day Urgent Appointments

If your child is unwell, we offer a same day access service.  All requests are added to the urgent list for triage by a GP and if applicable we will arrange for a same day urgent appointment.

These appointments are available daily during surgery hours only.  When contacting the surgery, please state the child's name, your name, contact number and your relationship to the child eg: parent or grandparent.  If you are ringing out of hours please contact the surgery in the usual way and you will be diverted to our out-of-hours service for an urgent GP consultation.

Telephone Consultations

For your convenience telephone appointments are offered to discuss any medical concern you may have that does not need an examination or face to face consultation. Please let our receptionist know if a telephone appointment is suitable for your concern as you are likely to ‘see’ a doctor more quickly using these appointments. 

Routine Doctor Appointments

We offer appointments in advance and on the day. We also have special times for patients who have difficulty with work schedules. You are free to choose which doctor you would like to see and our aim is to offer you an appointment with that doctor when possible.

Sometimes the doctor may want to see you again within a specific time. This appointment can only be made as you come out of the Surgery so that the receptionist knows it is on the doctor’s instructions. 

Advanced Practitioner Appointments

Our Advanced Practitioner can deal with many of the problems you would normally take to a doctor (for example, ongoing colds and coughs, chest infections, ear infections, minor injuries). On the day appointments are available Monday, Thursday and Fridays. 

Evening and Weekend Appointments 

If you require an evening or weekend appointment this can be booked through the receptionists at the surgery. Please note these appointments are NOT held at Chadsfield Medical Practice but you will be seen at other GP practices across Stockport and also at Viaduct Care based at Kingsgate House. 

These appointments can be booked in advance subject to availability by phoning the surgery on 0161 426 9388.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can do this by:-

1) phone 0161 426 9388

2) text  -  by texting the word CANCEL to 07800 000199. Please note that your appointment will not be cancelled if you put any other text in this message.
